Different programs are offered by the 39 universities – Diploma, Bachelors, and Masters. Secondary level education from India is minimum for admission in to diploma or Bachelors, three year Bachelor degree from India is acceptable for applying for Masters, which range from 1 - 3 yrs of duration. The main intake for all Australian Institutions is February for majority of the courses. Also July and November intake offered by some Australian Universities but not all courses. It is suggested that you should start applying 6-7 months prior to the intake. It is advised to take courses which you aim to work in.
The student visa process is an entirely separate process to skilled migration and there is no guarantee that you will be eligible for skilled migration purely on the basis of having undertaken a course related to an occupation on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL).
For admission and visa purpose sufficient level of English language proficiency is required,
IELTS minimum 6, with no band less than 5.5,
TOEFL minimum 79, with no band less than 20 and
PTE minimum 50, with no band less than 44 is requisite for any level of programs.
ELICOS is a program where students without satisfactory IELTS score can take with applicable fee (paid along with tuition fee). Admission into MBA programs requires GMAT in addition to IELTS with relevant work experience of at least 2-3 years and good academic background.
